The Presanella dairy was founded on 29 January 1976 following the merge of many small village dairies. At present, the dairy has contributing members who own small livestock farms located in Alta Val di Sole and breed mainly brown cows according to strict specifications. Six alpine pastures are added in summer. 

There are three shops, one at the dairy, one in Dimaro and one in Madonna di Campiglio.
