A SPECIAL VERSION OF THE FAMOUS PUZZONE DI MOENA, A PDO WASHED-RIND RAW MILK CHEESE, MADE FROM ALPINE PASTURE MILK AND PROTECTED BY THE SLOW FOOD PRESIDIUM.
Puzzone di Moena shares the characteristics of an intense aroma and bold taste with traditional Puzzone di Moena but it is made exclusively with milk from summer alpine pastures situated over 2,000 metres above sea level: Malga Bocche, Malga Pozza, Malga San Pellegrino, Malga Toazzo, Malga Valmaggiore and Malga Gardonè. The alpine pastures span the areas of Paneveggio Park, Passo Lusiae and Passo San Pellegrino. Puzzone di Moena PDO becomes a Slow Food Presidium after ageing for at least 120 days.
